FAQ

What to Wear?

Wardrobe plays a major role in the outcome of the images. If you are unsure of what to wear, please snap pictures of the wardrobes and I will be happy to assist. Below are some general ideas of what to wear:

Choose coordinating colors.

Neutrals, grays, creams, whites, earthy, pastel colors all makes a good choice.

Avoid bold, distracting patterns and big logos.

Avoid overly saturated & neon colors as they can reflect the colors on to the skin.

Avoid small & close together stripes as it can gives a weird effect called moire.

Avoid dirty nails

Avoid lints on clothes.

At the time of booking, there will be $50 retainer fee to secure the date/time for your session. The retainer is not refundable. Please give me at least 24 hours of notice (the 24 hr cancellation period does not apply if the cancellation is weather related). Retainer fee will not be refundable if customers are late.

What if I am late to the session?

It is very important to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier, to ensure we meet at the right spot and start the session on time. Late arrival will result in rescheduling or cancellation of the session.

What if my kid won’t cooperate at all during the photoshoot?

We will have posed photos first if children are willing to cooperate and move on to the candid. If not, let them have fun. Relax and play with them, tickle and cuddle with them. Remember that your toddler will never be this young, goofy, and silly again. So enjoy the moment and let me do the work and capture these precious memories! Below are some tips for a happier toddler during the session:

Make sure you toddlers are well-fed. We are know we get cranky when we are hungry, especially for kids. I would suggest feeding your children a meal or snack before the session as well bringing along a snack and water for mid session break if needed. Choose “clean” snacks so that clothes, hands and mouths aren’t stained.

Make sure your young kiddo naps, so they will come rested and happy. Do not let them sleep during the ride, as it may needed some time to wake up and adjust to their new surrounding. That combined with the fact that they often wanted to sleep a little longer often made for a very unhappy child.

Don’t force them to smile. We don’t want the stiff and unnatural smile anyway! Just be ready to play! The best way to capture real moments with authentic smiles is to create them.

Trust me to catch the in between moments, you just keep smiling regardless of what you kids are doing.

Have fun! Kids feed off your energy so if you have happy attitude so will they!

Plan a reward for the kids after the session, such as lollipop, candies…etc.

Bring a comfort item if needed for in-between sessions.

Can you take photos at my house?

If your house have good amount of natural light, we can certainly take photos at the comfort of your house. The style for this will much be like documentary and lifestyle. Currently I only travel up to 20 miles within the zip code of 19382.

When do you offer outdoor session?

Outdoor sessions are best during the months between April-November. However I do offer them depending on locations. And they are typically taken 1-2 hours before sunset depending on location.

What is a mini session? And how often do you offer them?

I offer couple of mini sessions throughout the year, and they are usually theme specified for each one. Please follow my social media for updated info.
